Israel: Students Strike for Peace and Hostage Release

Students in Israel went on strike and blocked school entrances, including in Tel Aviv, at the start of the school year. They are protesting the ongoing conflict in Gaza and demanding the release of hostages.
According to the Haaretz newspaper, students from 17 schools in central Israel participated in the mobilization. Approximately 100 student representatives gathered at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv.
Anoh Cohen, a high school student, stated that the strike is an act of solidarity with the hostages.
The new school year has begun for approximately 2.5 million students in Israel.
