Israel Approves New Operational Plan for Gaza

The Israeli army announced that its chief of staff has "approved" a new military operation plan for Gaza. Hamas condemned the Israeli raids on Gaza City as a "dangerous escalation."

According to a statement, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir approved the basic framework of the operational plan in the Gaza Strip. No details were given on the timeline.

The Israeli army is preparing to launch a new phase of operations to free the hostages and "defeat" Hamas, aiming to control Gaza City and the refugee camps.

During discussions, the actions of the army were presented, including the strike in the Zeitoun area. Hamas reports that Israeli forces are launching aggressive raids on Gaza City, mainly in the Zeitoun district and Tel al-Hawa.

On October 7, 2023, the Hamas attack caused the death of 1,219 people in Israel. Israeli retaliation in Gaza has caused the death of 61,599 people.

The Israeli army bombed Gaza City, with 123 deaths in the last 24 hours. Hamas's Khalil Al-Hayya held talks with Egyptian mediators in Cairo.
