Israel: Bodies of Two Hamas-Held Hostages Returned

The bodies of Ari Zalmanovich and another hostage held in Gaza by Hamas have been returned to Israel.

The family of the second hostage has not yet authorized the release of his name. According to Israeli authorities, 13 bodies of hostages remain held in Gaza.

Hamas handed over two coffins to Israel via the Red Cross. The bodies were transferred to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv for identification.

The transfer of the bodies took place one day after Hamas returned the body of Tal Haimi. At the start of the ceasefire on October 10, the bodies of 28 dead hostages were being held inside the Gaza Strip.
