Israel: Claims of Hamas Spokesperson Death in Airstrike

The Israeli armed forces and the Shin Bet internal security service announced that Abu Obeida, the Hamas spokesperson, was allegedly killed in an operation in Gaza.
According to Israeli media, a drone strike was carried out in Gaza City, targeting the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. Abu Obeida, whose real name is Hudaifa Samir Abdalla al-Kahlout, always appears with his face covered in his statements.
Anonymous security sources in Israel expressed "cautious optimism" about the outcome of the raid, according to Channel 12 and the public broadcaster Kan. However, his death has not been officially confirmed.
