Israeli Forces Intensify Bombardment of Gaza City

Israeli forces have intensified their bombardment of Gaza City, demolishing homes and causing casualties. According to local health authorities, at least 11 people have been killed in airstrikes and tank attacks in the eastern areas of the city.

Residents and medics reported that eight people were killed when an Israeli tank struck a house in the Zeitoun neighborhood, while a man was killed in an airstrike on a building in Sejaiya. Two more people were killed in tank attacks in Tuffah.

The Palestinian organization Hamas has told mediators it is ready to resume ceasefire talks. Egypt is trying to revive efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza, hosting a Hamas delegation led by Khalil al-Hayya.

The Gaza Health Ministry announced that four more people had died from famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 239, including 106 children.
