Israeli Bulldozers Uproot Thousands of Trees in West Bank

Israeli bulldozers have reportedly uprooted thousands of trees in the village of Al-Mughayyir, near Ramallah, in the West Bank. French Agency journalists confirmed the destruction, in the presence of Israeli soldiers.
Abdelatif Mohammed Abu Aliya, a resident of Al-Mughayyir, stated that he lost olive trees over 70 years old. Farmers in the area have begun replanting their fields.
The Israeli army, when questioned, responded that it was investigating the matter. This followed an announcement of the arrest of a man from Al-Mughayyir, accused of a terrorist attack. Additionally, the Palestinian Authority reported that an 18-year-old was killed in the same village by Israeli soldiers' bullets on August 16.
Clashes in the West Bank have intensified since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip.
