An Israeli fashion chain, Comme il Faut, has launched a campaign to raise awareness about the famine in the Gaza Strip. The company's social media posts, in English, Arabic, and Hebrew, depict women and a man dressed in black, holding empty pots with the caption 'resist the famine'.

The company stated that it felt the need to 'speak out on behalf of all those who cannot speak out' and called for an end to the famine in Gaza and the release of the hostages. The chain's director, Romy Kaminer Goldfiner, told the Jerusalem Post that fashion is a political issue.

The initiative received support and criticism on Instagram. A report by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) stated that nearly 514,000 people in Gaza are facing famine conditions.
