Israeli Alpine Unit Operates in Syria and Lebanon

Israeli forces conducted a cross-border operation from Syria into southern Lebanon, aiming to eliminate threats from Hezbollah groups. According to an IDF statement, the operation was carried out by an Alpine unit of the Mountain Brigade in the Mount Hermon area.
The alpine unit climbed through snowy mountainous terrain to scout the area, gather intelligence, and locate Hezbollah fighters. The operation aimed to prevent the establishment of Hezbollah groups in the Lebanese border region.
