Israeli Army Announces Strike on Hezbollah Position in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army announced that it struck a Hezbollah-operated site in southern Lebanon on Sunday.
According to the Israeli army, the site, located in the Beaufort ridge area, was used for military activities and included underground infrastructure. The army claims the site's existence violates agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported "intense attacks" in the Ali al-Taher area and in Al-Debsa, with reports of fires and severe damage. The NNA also reported that aircraft launched a "large number of missiles."
Hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel have increased since the outbreak of the war in Gaza. Despite the November ceasefire, Israel has vowed to continue attacks on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon until the organization is disarmed.
The U.S. has pressured Beirut to disarm Hezbollah, but the organization has stated it will resist any such effort.
