Qatar: Arrests for Misleading Information During Iran Attacks

Qatari authorities have arrested over 300 people for publishing images and "misleading information" during Iranian attacks, according to a statement from the Qatari Interior Ministry.
The 313 detainees, of "various nationalities," allegedly "filmed and transmitted video sequences and published misleading information as well as rumors." The arrests were made by the ministry's department responsible for combating economic and cybercrimes.
Similar measures have been taken in other Gulf countries, as Iran targets airports, military bases, energy facilities, and populated areas with drones and missiles.
In Bahrain, four people were arrested for similar acts, while in Kuwait, three people were arrested for videos ridiculing the situation in the country.
Residents of the United Arab Emirates received SMS messages warning of prosecution for spreading "unreliable information" or publishing images of "sensitive content."
Similar warnings have also been issued by Saudi Arabia.
