Macron Calls on Iran to Return to Negotiations

French President Emmanuel Macron has called on his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, to return to the negotiating table regarding the country's nuclear program, to adhere to the ceasefire agreement, and to release 2 French citizens held in Tehran.
In the second telephone conversation between the two leaders in the last 10 days, the French President also asked his Iranian counterpart to resume talks "to resolve the issues of nuclear and ballistic activities" of Iran.
Earlier, Iran expressed "serious doubts" about Israel's intention to abide by the ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on June 24.
