Cypriots in the Middle East: 'We Hear Bombs'

Two Cypriot women in Abu Dhabi and Dubai shared their experiences of the volatile situation in the Middle East on SIGMA's "Mesimeri kai Kati" show.
Eleni Koumidou, who is on vacation in Abu Dhabi, reported that the situation is manageable, although it was more dangerous in previous days. She emphasized the prevailing confusion and lack of immediate information.
"We hear noises, bombs, we see clashes in buildings," said Ms. Koumidou, adding that her sister is on a cruise ship in Dubai and does not have direct contact with her.
Christina Constantinou, a permanent resident of Dubai, reported that generally there is calm and life goes on almost normally. "We hear missile interceptions," she said, adding that they are in direct contact with the embassy and follow the instructions. "What we are experiencing is very new," she concluded.
