Middle East: US Sends 'USS Gerald R. Ford' Aircraft Carrier

The US has ordered the world's largest aircraft carrier, the 'USS Gerald R. Ford', to sail to the Middle East. This move comes as US President Donald Trump considers potential military intervention in Iran.
The deployment of the 'USS Gerald R. Ford' will bring two aircraft carriers and warships to the region, increasing pressure on Iran to reach an agreement on its nuclear program, according to the Associated Press.
Two weeks ago, the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and three destroyers arrived in the Middle East. Donald Trump had mentioned that he was considering sending a second aircraft carrier strike group to the region.
The USS Ford's mission follows its return from the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, where it participated in the operation that led to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
Trump warned Iran that if they fail to reach an agreement, the result would be 'very traumatic' and that 'it should happen quickly'.
