New Anti-Government Student Protests in Iran

New anti-government student protests have erupted at several universities in Iran, coinciding with the start of the new semester.
A video, reportedly from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran according to Agence France-Presse, shows protesters condemning Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and calling for the restoration of Reza Pahlavi to the throne.
Agencies reported videos of clashes at the same university, where protesters allegedly injured volunteer Basij militia students.
Protests also took place at Beheshti and Amir Kabir universities in the capital, as well as at Mashhad University, according to the human rights organization HAALVSH. In the city of Abdanan, protesters chanted "Death to Khamenei" and "Death to the dictator," protesting the arrest of a professor.
These mobilizations occur at a time when the USA threatens to strike Iran, although indirect talks between them have resumed.
According to the US-based NGO HRANA, more than 7,000 people were killed and more than 53,000 arrested in previous demonstrations. The government speaks of 3,000 dead.
