Netanyahu: No Palestinian Authority Involvement in Gaza Governance

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US envoy Steve Witkoff that the Palestinian Authority would not participate “in any way” in the governance of the Gaza Strip after the war.
Steve Witkoff, who is visiting Jerusalem ahead of a meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister, met with the Israeli Prime Minister. Benjamin Netanyahu's office issued a statement saying: “The Prime Minister clarified that the Palestinian Authority will not be involved in any way.”
According to Donald Trump's plan, the management of Gaza is expected to be temporarily assigned to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), which consists of 15 Palestinian technocrats and is under the authority of the 'Peace Council'.
Mahmoud Abbas has already announced that elections are imminent in the Palestinian territories. The Trump plan excludes any role for Hamas.
During their meeting, the Israeli Prime Minister reiterated the demand for the disarmament of Hamas, the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, and the achievement of war goals before reconstruction.
Israel and Hamas accuse each other daily of violating the terms of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
