NYT: Malnourished Gaza Child Had Other Health Issues

Shocking photos of a malnourished baby from Gaza, published a few days ago, sparked global concern. The New York Times (NYT) announced that the child, in addition to severe malnutrition, also faces other health problems.
Initially, the photos of 18-month-old Mohammed and his mother in a makeshift tent in Gaza were intended to highlight the plight of children in the region. However, the NYT reported that they received information about pre-existing health problems of the child, which will be included in an updated report.
The pro-Israel group HonestReporting published a photo of Mohammed's brother, who appeared to be in better condition. The baby's mother stated that her son suffers from a muscular disorder and receives specialized care. Journalist David Collier, citing a medical report, stated that the child has cerebral palsy, hypoxemia, and a genetic disorder.
Israel commented that Mohammed suffers from cerebral palsy, unlike his brother, and accused the BBC, CNN, Daily Express, and The New York Times of spreading a misleading story.
Israeli analyst Dr. Eli David expressed satisfaction with the NYT's admission and accused Greece of spreading false news about famine in Gaza.
