Trump to Announce Gaza Reconstruction Plan Next Week

US President **Donald Trump** is expected to announce a multi-billion dollar funding plan next week to rebuild **Gaza**, as well as plans for a stabilization force.

The announcement will be made at the first official meeting of the Council for Peace on **February 19** in Washington. Delegations from at least 20 countries are expected to attend the meeting.

On **January 23**, Trump signed the charter establishing the Council for Peace in Davos, Switzerland. Its creation was approved by a resolution of the United Nations Security Council.

Israeli Prime Minister **Benjamin Netanyahu** stated that Israel has joined the Council.

The plan for Gaza includes the creation of an International Stabilization Force. A key concern is the disarmament of Hamas fighters. Hamas members who commit to peaceful coexistence with Israel and surrender their weapons will receive amnesty.

Reports on the work of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza will also be presented at the Council for Peace meetings.
