Strait of Hormuz: Navigation Near Standstill Due to Conflict

Navigation in the Strait of Hormuz has nearly halted, according to the Joint Maritime Information Center (JMIC), due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. This critical artery for the transport of goods, including oil and fertilizers, has been significantly affected.
Dozens of tankers remain anchored within the Persian Gulf. The frequency of attacks on ships in the area has increased, making passage dangerous.
Only one ship entering and one ship leaving were observed crossing the Strait on March 4. Two ships, MSC Grace and Sonangol Namibe, were reported to be involved in incidents in the Arabian Gulf and near Iraq. The cargo ship Iron Maiden exited the Strait signaling "CHINA OWNER".
Earlier, the tanker LPG Bogazici announced that it was a Muslim-owned and Turkish-managed vessel.
