Sumud Flotilla Rejects Proposal to Deliver Gaza Aid in Cyprus

The Global Sumud Flotilla mission has rejected the Italian government's proposal to deliver humanitarian aid for Gaza to a representative of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem in Cyprus.

Flotilla members fear that Israel may attack their ships in the next 48 hours. Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto warned of the dangers of attempting to breach Israel's naval blockade.

The Italian frigate Alpino will replace the frigate Fasan in providing protection to members of the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters.
