Trump's Gaza Plan: "Middle East Riviera" After Reconstruction?

A plan circulating within the Trump administration envisions rebuilding the Gaza Strip into a tourist resort after a period of American administration and potential population resettlement.
According to the Washington Post, the plan, titled "Gaza Reconstitution, Economic Acceleration and Transformation Trust, or GREAT Trust", proposes the "voluntary" departure of Gaza's 2 million residents or their relocation to restricted access zones during reconstruction.
The plan is supported by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which has already begun distributing aid. It envisions "digital coupons" for landowners and $5,000 in cash, rental subsidies, and food for Palestinians who choose to relocate.
The UN announced that over 1,000 people have been killed trying to receive aid in Gaza since the GHF began operating in May 2025, with the majority of victims shot by Israeli forces.
Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the army is preparing for a general attack on Gaza City.
