Syria: Casualties in SDF Counter-Attack

According to Kurdish sources, nine Syrian army soldiers were killed and seven wounded in a counter-attack by fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The attack follows allegations of Syrian army shelling of Kurdish areas.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported that four soldiers and three civilians were injured in a previous SDF attack near the city of Manbij. Damascus called the attack "irresponsible."
Negotiations between the Kurds and the Syrian government to integrate Kurdish institutions into the Syrian state have been delayed, with disagreements over the constitutional declaration and the composition of the government.
Fighting continued near Aleppo, with the SDF reporting that they have the "upper hand" and have been ordered to de-escalate.
