Tehran: US Must Rule Out New Strikes to Restart Talks

Tehran states that diplomatic talks with Washington cannot resume unless new strikes are ruled out. Iranian official Majid Takht-Ravanchi told the BBC that the US has not clarified its position regarding potential aggressive actions.
According to Takht-Ravanchi, Iran was informed that the US does not want regime change in Iran by targeting Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Israel initiated hostilities on June 13, while the US bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities on June 21-22, supporting the Israeli attack.
After 12 days of bombings, a ceasefire came into effect on June 24, with President Donald Trump warning of new strikes if Iran enriches uranium. Takht-Ravanchi defended Iran's right to enrich uranium to 60% for energy production.
