Trump: Potential Attack on Iran After Ramadan

The United States appears to be preparing a military strike on Iran, with the Pentagon assembling a strike force in the Middle East. The attack may occur after Ramadan, towards the end of March, to avoid stirring up Shiite sentiments.

The arsenal is being reinforced by the USS Gerald Ford aircraft carrier and its accompanying ships. President Trump stated vaguely that a deal with Iran is possible within the next 10 days.

According to Daniel Shapiro, former U.S. Ambassador to Israel, the U.S. and Israel have a military advantage over Iran, but a war carries risks, such as Iranian ballistic missiles and proxies throughout the Middle East.

Recent meetings between American and Iranian officials have not made significant progress. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt mentioned that the two sides are "far apart on some issues."

Iran's permanent mission to the UN has warned that it will respond "decisively and proportionately" to any attack.
