Hamas Releases Video of Israeli Hostage in Gaza

The armed wing of Hamas has released a video of an Israeli hostage held in Gaza. The hostage was abducted during the October 7, 2023 attack.

In the video, the hostage, visibly weakened, is being held in a tunnel. AFP has not verified the authenticity of the video.

Israeli media identified the hostage as Eviatar David, 24, who appeared in a video in February. He was abducted from the Nova music festival.

In the new video, David appears with images of malnourished children, a reference to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Yesterday, Islamic Jihad released a video of Rom Braslavski, 21, also abducted on October 7, 2023.

Of the 251 people abducted, 49 remain in Gaza, of whom 27 are dead, according to the Israeli army.
