Cyprus MFA Activates ESTIA Plan Amidst Middle East Tensions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is activating the National ESTIA Plan following the escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
According to an MFA announcement, the Ministerial Crisis Management Team has decided to activate the Special National ESTIA Plan to receive and repatriate citizens of third countries from crisis areas, via the Republic of Cyprus.
Diplomatic missions are monitoring the situation, with emphasis on Cypriot citizens in the region, according to the Ministry.
The Special National ESTIA Plan is the National Action Plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the safe evacuation of citizens from crisis areas in the wider Middle East region, through Cyprus.
