Idaho: Firefighters Ambushed β 2 Killed by Sniper Fire

Two firefighters were killed in an ambush in Kootenai County, Idaho, while responding to a fire. Sheriff Robert Norris confirmed the deaths and reported that firefighters were taking sniper fire in the Coeur d'Alene area.
Authorities have launched a manhunt to locate and apprehend the perpetrator or perpetrators. Sheriff Norris urged law enforcement to 'shoot to neutralize the threat' and urged citizens to avoid the area.
Idaho Governor Brad Little expressed his grief over the attack and called for prayers for the firefighters and their families. Arson is being investigated as a possible motive to lure firefighters to the area.
