Questions and reactions have arisen regarding the transfer of Ghislaine Maxwell, convicted of sex trafficking, to a low-security prison in Texas.

Maxwell's transfer from a correctional facility in Florida to Bryan, Texas, is considered unusual for sex crime convictions. The decision has sparked reactions, with inmates expressing discontent and staff recommending discretion.

According to CNN, Maxwell will not have all the privileges enjoyed by other inmates, and her presence has increased tension in the prison. One inmate was punished for making statements about Maxwell.

Maxwell was convicted in 2021 and is expected to be released in 12 years. Her transfer has raised questions in Washington, with Senator Sheldon Whitehouse demanding explanations.

Despite the low level of security, Maxwell does not participate in programs such as training service dogs.
