Trump's 'Gift'? Firing and Fed Resignation Spark Speculation

Donald Trump may benefit from the dismissal of the head of the Bureau of Statistics and the resignation of Fed board member Adriana Kugler.
According to reports, Trump fired the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, accusing her of manipulating labor market data. Simultaneously, Adriana Kugler's resignation from the Fed paves the way for Trump to intervene in the Federal Reserve, with which he frequently disagrees.
These developments come at a time when the market is trying to digest new data on US employment, which shows that only 73,000 jobs were created in July, while jobs for May and June were revised downwards by 258,000.
Meanwhile, concerns are being raised about the accuracy of the data, as the Bureau of Statistics has reduced sample collection for consumer price data and the producer price report due to limited resources. The response rate to surveys has also decreased.
Kugler's departure from the Fed gives Trump the opportunity to appoint someone who will be more aligned with his policies. Trump has expressed his desire to replace Jerome Powell, whom he accuses of not lowering interest rates.
Possible candidates for the next Fed presidency include Kevin Hassett, Scott Besent, Kevin Warsh, and Chris Waller.
