In an unexpected turn, an unusual election has captured attention in Massachusetts, USA. Instead of humans, the candidates for mayor are… pets.

In the city of Somerville, a bike path has become the center of a peculiar political battle, with candidates including cats, dogs, turtles, and other animals. The race started as a joke but has evolved into a bizarre election thriller.

The story began with Berry, a cat with a distinctive mark on her nose, who was declared "mayor" of the bike path by her family. This sparked a domino effect, with other pets vying for the title.

The race included 73 pets and had all the characteristics of a normal political contest, including "dirty" tactics and the unexpected death of one candidate, Pirate. Voting concluded on September 5th.

Among the candidates are Berry, who promises to "unite the community under the superiority of cats," Orange, who wants to address the rat problem, Minerva, with the slogan "CRIME," Cartwheel, who hates cyclists, and many others.

Also participating in the race are Picosita, a chihuahua, Nagi, a turtle, Corben Dallas, with a political legacy, Wasil, a candidate for Attorney General, Ernie, the youngest candidate, and Hugo, a climate activist.
