The mystery surrounding the 1958 disappearance of the Martin family appears to be solved. Diver Archer Mayo discovered the remains of the missing family members in a submerged Ford station wagon in the Columbia River, finally resolving one of Oregon's darkest mysteries.

Kenneth Martin, 54, his wife Barbara, 48, and their three daughters, ages 11, 13, and 14, set out on December 7, 1958, from Portland for a trip to the Columbia River. The 1954 Ford Country Squire, driven by the father, never returned home.
