According to the survey, 89% of Americans consider extramarital affairs morally unacceptable, while 51% disapprove of teenage sex. Furthermore, 54% consider gender reassignment morally wrong.

At the same time, the survey shows that the death penalty is morally acceptable to 56% of Americans, with Republicans supporting it to a greater extent (72%) than Democrats (41%).

Opinions on abortion are divided, with 49% considering it morally acceptable and 40% morally wrong. 90% of Americans consider contraception morally acceptable, while 68% accept heterosexual sex outside of marriage.

The biggest differences between parties are found in the issues of gender reassignment, abortion, and homosexual relationships.

Age differences in ethical perceptions are smaller compared to party differences. Young adults are more likely to consider gender reassignment and abortion morally acceptable, while older adults tend to support medical testing on animals.
