US: Student Prank Turns Deadly – Teacher Killed

A 40-year-old teacher died tragically in Gainesville, Georgia, USA, after students pranked his home.

Jason Hughes, a teacher, was the victim of a prank in which students covered his yard with toilet paper. The incident occurred hours after the school board appealed to students to stop pranks.

According to local media, Hughes came out of his house to confront the students, tripped and fell into the road, where an 18-year-old, Jayden Wallace, hit him with his car.

Wallace was arrested and faces charges of first-degree vehicular homicide, reckless driving, unlawful entry onto property, and pollution. If convicted, he faces three to 15 years in prison.

A photo on Instagram showed Hughes' house covered in toilet paper in March 2023. The page's rules stated that the prank should remain fun.
