California: ICE Agents Shoot Man Who Allegedly Tried to Run Them Over

ICE agents shot and injured a man in Patterson, California, on Tuesday. According to ICE, the man attempted to run them over with his car.
The incident occurred in the city of Patterson. The FBI cordoned off the area, and the injured man was transported to a hospital.
ICE Director Todd Lyons stated that agents were approaching the vehicle when the driver, described as a "wanted gang member," attempted to run them over using his car as a weapon. "Acting on their training, our officers fired in self-defense to protect themselves, their colleagues, and the public," Lyons said.
According to ICE, the suspect is allegedly a member of a gang from El Salvador, was illegally in the United States, and was wanted in connection with a homicide investigation.
