Mother Protests in Swimsuit at School Board Meeting

A mother and activist, Beth Bourne, protested locker room policies at a Davis Joint Unified School Board meeting in California. Bourne, president of Moms for Liberty in Yolo County, stripped down to her swimsuit during public comments on September 18, objecting to policies allowing transgender women to use women's locker rooms.
Bourne stated that Ralph Waldo Emerson, Frances Harper, and Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. schools require students to undress before physical education class. She removed her clothing to demonstrate what it's like to undress in a locker room, while wearing a swimsuit. Her speech was interrupted by the School Board Vice President, Hiram Jackson, but she was allowed to continue after a brief recess.
Bourne told CBS News that her action was not intended to disrupt the process, but to draw attention to the locker room issue.
