New York: Transportation Restored After Severe Snowstorm

Transportation in New York City is being restored after a recent severe snowstorm hit the area. Record snowfall and serious problems are reported in other US states.

New York is trying to return to normal after the severe weather caused disruptions to transportation and daily life. Most suburban municipalities kept schools closed, while residents participated in clearing sidewalks.

According to reports, at least 19 locations in 5 states recorded snowfall of over 61 centimeters. Flight cancellations and power outages continue. Authorities warn of ongoing danger as snow remains at high levels and temperatures are expected to rise gradually.
