Nick Reiner: Lawyer Resigns, Court to Appoint Counsel

Nick Reiner, son of Rob Reiner, faces charges for the murder of his parents. At today's hearing, Wednesday, January 7, his lawyer unexpectedly resigned from his defense.
Alan Jackson, Reiner's lawyer, announced his withdrawal to Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Teresa McGonigle. The public defender's office will take over the case immediately. As a result, the hearing was postponed to February 23.
Nick Reiner is being held without bail after his arrest, which followed the discovery of the bodies of Rob and Michelle Reiner. He faces a life sentence or the death penalty, with the prosecutor yet to decide whether to seek the death penalty.
