Donald Trump Considers Pardoning Diddy Despite His 'Hostility'

Donald Trump has not ruled out the possibility of granting a presidential pardon to rapper Diddy, who has been convicted on two counts of transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution. Diddy's sentencing is scheduled for October 3rd.
In an interview with Rob Finnerty of Newsmax, Trump stated that he was once "very friendly" with Diddy, but the rapper later became "very hostile" towards him when Trump ran for office. Trump admitted that Diddy's hostility could "cloud our judgment."
Trump pointed out that no formal pardon request has been submitted, and the White House is not commenting on whether such a request is being considered. He also stated that he would be interested in the facts, especially if he believes someone has been treated unfairly, regardless of whether they like him or not.
Diddy has been detained since September 2024. He has been convicted of transportation for the purpose of prostitution, while being acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
The possibility of a pardon is being discussed as the Trump administration faces pressure to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
