Rob Reiner: Tragic End and Final Hours

The American film community is in shock following the death of Rob Reiner (78) and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner (70), at their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles.

Their son, Nick Reiner, faces two counts of first-degree murder.

On Saturday, the couple accompanied Nick to a party at Conan O'Brien's house. Nick's behavior was considered disturbing, and he was asked to leave. Less than 24 hours later, Rob and Michele were found dead.

People close to the couple say they had dedicated over 20 years to helping their son deal with addiction issues.

Rob Reiner was an iconic figure in Hollywood, known for his work on All in the Family and for films such as The Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally.

Reiner had spoken openly about his son's struggle, saying in a 2016 interview that his motto was: 'Keep him alive until 25.'
