Shock in the US: 11-year-old dies of starvation – Only one berry in her stomach

A case of an 11-year-old girl dying of starvation has caused shock in the US. The forensic report revealed that Jacqueline Torres-Garcia had only one berry in her stomach when she died.

Her body was found in a state of decomposition in October at her home in Connecticut. Authorities arrested her mother, Carla Garcia, 29, and her former partner, Jonathan Nanita, accusing them of murder.

According to investigations, Jacqueline was tied up and denied access to the toilet. Her mother confessed that she had not fed her for two weeks before her death, which is estimated to have occurred in September 2024. In addition, amphetamines and antihistamines were found in her system.

Nanita allegedly disposed of Jacqueline's body after the family moved.
