Fashion Designer's Death in New York: Found Dead on Yacht

The death of fashion designer Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra is shrouded in mystery after she was found dead on a luxury yacht in Long Island, New York.

The 33-year-old entrepreneur, founder of the swimwear brand East x East, was found unconscious at the Montauk Yacht Club. A man called 911 shortly after midnight on Tuesday, according to Suffolk County police. Despite first aid efforts, rescuers pronounced her dead at the scene.

A preliminary forensic examination did not reach a clear conclusion as to the cause of death, and the homicide department has taken over the case. A member of the Montauk Yacht Club reportedly heard voices from the pier on Monday night.

Nolan-O'Slatarra was originally from Ireland and lived in Manhattan.
