Trump Jokes About Installing 'Nuclear Missiles' at White House

Donald Trump joked about installing 'nuclear missiles' at the White House during an inspection of the building's roof. The statement comes amid rising tensions between the US and Russia.
Accompanied by his security detail, Trump inspected the area where a new ballroom will be built. When asked by reporters what he planned to build, he jokingly replied: 'Missiles,' then 'nuclear missiles,' mimicking a missile launch.
Trump stated he was 'taking a little walk' and that he would personally finance the renovations at the White House, which are expected to cost $200 million.
The US and Russia are in a rhetorical standoff, with Trump recently announcing the deployment of nuclear submarines near Russia in response to statements by Dmitry Medvedev. Moscow has lifted a moratorium on the development of medium-range weapons, accusing the US of fueling an arms race.
Trump has already made changes to the White House, such as paving the Rose Garden and decorating the Oval Office with gold details.
