Trump Sends Tom Homan to Minnesota After Pretti Killing

Donald Trump is sending the "border czar" Tom Homan to Minnesota following the killing of Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse. Pretti's death, in an incident involving federal agents, has sparked protests.
Trump stated that Homan will report directly to him. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said Homan will manage operations for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the state.
Following the outcry over the death of Pretti and Rene GuGood on January 7, Trump told the Wall Street Journal that he is considering withdrawing ICE officers from the Minneapolis area. "At some point we're going to be gone," he stated.
