Delta Flight in US: Wing Part Detaches Mid-Flight

Passengers on a Delta Air Lines flight experienced anxious moments when, shortly after takeoff from Orlando en route to Austin, a section of the Boeing 737's wing partially detached.
The incident occurred on flight DL1893. Passengers noticed that a portion of the rear wing had partially detached while the plane continued to fly.
Despite the fear, the pilot safely landed the aircraft in Austin. Delta announced that the aircraft has been taken out of service for maintenance.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into the incident. No injuries were reported among the 62 passengers and six crew members.
