Agreement Signed for the Sale of AstroBank to Alpha Bank Group

An agreement has been signed for the sale of all banking assets and liabilities of AstroBank to the Alpha Bank Group, including the transfer of its personnel to Alpha Bank Cyprus.

According to an announcement by AstroBank, the integration of its operations into the Alpha Bank Group significantly strengthens the Group's strategic presence in Cyprus. The completion of the process is expected within the fourth quarter of 2025, following the necessary regulatory approvals, with Alpha Bank Cyprus emerging as the third largest bank in the country.

The acquisition, according to the announcement, opens new horizons for AstroBank's employees and customers through Alpha Bank's international network.

AstroBank's CEO, Aristides Vourakis, stated that the agreement is a significant milestone for AstroBank and the Cypriot economy, creating a strong banking organization capable of meeting market needs and contributing to the development of the Cypriot economy.

The expanded bank will have increased financing capacity, an expanded network and expertise, offering modern services to individuals and businesses.
