Stefanou Criticizes Government for Lack of Response

AKEL's General Secretary, Stefanos Stefanou, re-elected for another five-year term, criticized the government, stating that it is becoming increasingly inaccessible.
According to Mr. Stefanou, the Presidential Palace is not responding to AKEL's letters regarding issues of concern to society. In particular, he referred to a request for discussion regarding the GESS (General Healthcare System) and private capital acquisitions from Greece, which may lead to an oligopoly.
Furthermore, Mr. Stefanou highlighted the increase in real estate purchases by foreign nationals, focusing on targeted purchases in Limassol and Larnaca by Israelis, where closed areas with Zionist schools and synagogues are being created.
Mr. Stefanou's statements were made on the 'Morning Route' radio show, commenting on the government's absence from AKEL's Pancyprian conference.
