Christodoulides Meets Johannes Hahn at Presidential Palace

European Commission Special Envoy Johannes Hahn will meet with the President of the Republic at 08:00 at the Presidential Palace.

Following the meeting with President Christodoulides, Mr. Hahn is expected to meet with the General Secretary of AKEL and possibly with Turkish Cypriots.

Yesterday afternoon, Mr. Hahn had an informative discussion with the Greek Cypriot negotiator, Menelaos Menelaou, regarding the next steps in the Cyprus issue.

This is Mr. Hahn's first visit to Cyprus since his appointment in May. According to CYPRUS NEWS AGENCY, he is also expected to meet with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Colin Stewart, and with Ambassadors of European Union member states.
