PASYKI Accuses OKYPY of 'Institutional Inconsistency' Regarding Doctor Postings

The Pancyprian Union of Government Doctors (PASYKI) is strongly protesting the stance of the State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY) regarding the renewal of doctor postings that expired on December 31.
PASYKI accuses OKYPY of 'institutional inconsistency,' arguing that the organization has not yet proceeded with the renewal of postings as required by relevant legislation. It points out that this omission creates a legal and administrative vacuum, affecting the labor rights and obligations of doctors.
The union questions the implementation of laws and the responsibility for enforcing legislation, as well as accountability regarding administrative effectiveness. It also expresses concerns about whether medical personnel are being treated as expendable material.
PASYKI believes that the non-renewal of postings indicates an institutional deficit and the failure of the reform in medical health services, leading to procrastination, opacity, and lack of accountability.
Finally, PASYKI emphasizes the need for an immediate review of OKYPY's operating model, based on the experience of its implementation.
