Record Applications for DYPA's Nursery Schools

A record number of applications has been submitted for DYPA's 28 nursery schools for the 2025-2026 school year, with a total of 4,386 applications received.
According to an announcement, the accommodation of infants and toddlers is free, and the selection criteria are economic and social. The schools implement a daily creative program for the harmonious educational and psychosocial development of children.
DYPA's nursery schools operate from September 1st to July 31st, from 06:45 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, and cater to infants and toddlers aged 6 months to 4 years.
In Attica, they are located in the areas of Agia Varvara, Ano Liosia, Elefsina, Keratsini, Menidi, Moschato, Olympic Village, Peristeri, and Haidari. Additionally, a new nursery school will operate from September in a DYPA building in Ilion.
In the region, there are stations in Agrinio, Arta, Drama, Igoumenitsa, Ioannina, Kavala, Kalamata, Karditsa, Karpenisi, Komotini, Messolonghi, Naousa, Xanthi, Patras, Pylaia Thessaloniki, Serres, and Trikala. The Larissa station, which was damaged by the Daniel storm, is expected to reopen in early 2026.
Provisional lists of selected, alternate, and excluded infants and toddlers will be posted soon, and beneficiaries will have the opportunity to submit objections.
