52-Year-Old Arrested for Money Theft in Paphos

A 52-year-old man has been arrested in Paphos on a court warrant, accused of stealing money from a 29-year-old.

According to the complaint filed with the Paphos TAE, the 52-year-old allegedly persuaded the 29-year-old, starting in 2022, to give him money for safekeeping.

The complainant claims to have handed over a total of 6,800 euros. When he requested the return of the money, the 52-year-old claimed that the amount was only 2,000 euros and has not returned any money.

The 52-year-old was taken into custody and police are investigating the case.
