Aris FC: Athanasiadis and Gianniotas acquired

Aris Thessaloniki strengthens its Greek contingent with the acquisition of Giorgos Athanasiadis and Giannis Gianniotas. The two players have agreed to sign contracts for 1+1 years.

Marinos Ouzounidis had set the two players as a priority for strengthening the team. The announcement of the transfers is expected soon, as the two sides have already agreed.

Giorgos Athanasiadis left AEK Larnaca, where he had signed a two-year contract, to return to Greece. The experienced goalkeeper has previously played for Panthrakikos, Asteras Tripolis, AEK, and Sheriff Tiraspol.

Giannis Gianniotas returns to Aris, where he started his career. The 32-year-old striker was transferred to Dusseldorf in 2013 for 900,000 euros. He has also played for Olympiacos, Asteras Tripolis, AEK, APOEL, and Apollon Limassol. From 2022 until the end of the season, he played for Levadiakos.
